About me
Hi, I’m Dat — a Los Angeles–based cinematographer originally from the vibrant city of Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam 🇻🇳. Growing up surrounded by color, movement, and energy sparked my love for filmmaking and the power of visual storytelling.
I work across narrative, commercial, and music-video projects as a DP, Gaffer, AC, and Colorist. My approach blends technical precision with creative intuition to serve the story above all else — using light as emotional language and camera movement as rhythm to reveal character and mood. From shooting on 16 mm to designing stylized lighting setups, I aim to craft images that feel intentional, dynamic, and alive.
